Turner’s Types: Two Flavors of Eight

Here are pictures of two men, both of whom are almost certainly eights. One is an eight with a nine-wing (8/9), and one is an 8/7. Both men show a kind of rough feeling that is almost always present in eights. On the surface, they share many features.
