Gurdjieff1 said that we can “put everything we know” onto the enneagram and I have taken this seriously. In this article, I want to sketch out how the enneagram can link science and myth by bringing together experiments with light and journeys of the hero. Right at the start, I want to acknowledge my debt in this first to my colleague Ken Pledge2, like myself a long-time student of John Bennett; and secondly to Joseph Campbell, whose books I have just started reading3.
