In this essay I experiment with a different way of looking at the enneagram of fixations, drawing on the ideas of Gurdjieff. Please consider this a playful exploration. What I am trying to do is to evoke a feeling for the subtle relationships inherent in the enneagram. No fixed interpretation can do it justice. Those who claim they have it all sewn up must be trying to pull the wool over our eyes!
