A dozen years ago, give or take, my wife and I had dinner at the home of two friends. Craig and I like puns, and our wives were getting glassy eyed as we tried to outdo each other. Then, for some reason, we turned to limericks. We had a jolly time, punctured by the groans of our wives, and the fun continued off and on for the next couple of months whenever we got together.
