Raymond, you can study this “discrepancy” in the Ouspensky/Gurdjieff literature, most recently in A.G.E. Blake’s new book, The Intelligent Enneagram (Shambhala, 1996), where much is said about this.

However, to understand this “octave” perspective within the Protoanalytic Theory offered by Ichazo may be mixing apples and banana...
